This rear garden is quite a steep incline and when viewed from the entrance level over 3 metres high to the back.

With this in mind most of the garden is viewed from a low level.

A large decking area is constructed approximately 1.5metres from the lower level with access to both sides of the area. New feature wooden steps were built to provide access with the handrail and spindles hand made to match the feature seat which was specially designed so that no fixings could be viewed from the lower level. This feature gives the appearance of the bench is floating, being secured to the wall with purpose made special hidden bracket supports. The seat is finished in selected treated wood and provides not only the centre piece to the decking but a restful seat to view across Portishead and the Seven Bridge.

After converting one garage into an extra room, a conversion having patio doors leading to the garden, our customer wanted to maximise the large garden into a living space.

The garden had not been landscaped since the owners occupied the house several years ago.

The first stage was to replace the fence to the back of the garden with 8 vertical featheredge fencing panels. The garden was excavated with a sub base of 100 sq-mtrs, in preparation of high grade artificial grass. An inviting large patio area was constructed leading from the new patio doors, finished in a black composite decking featuring a picture frame border to all sides and bull nose to the front edges. The garden features a large all weather grass area with an inviting social decking area ready for patio furniture, barbeque and of course a glass of wine.

A small family bathroom was in need of being modernised and extended. Removing a wall and allowing the room to expand slightly in to unused storage space, allowed us to install a separate bath and shower unit just as the customer requested. A complete change of pipework layout was required before any other work could be carried out. Underfloor heating, a tiled floor and half tiled walls were all then completed prior to suite installation. A digital shower and LED accent lighting completed this project.
